Back to Stanford..

1. Last time i came to Stanford, i was way more excited. This time, not so much. I guess i had too much fun during my winter break in India and didn’t want to leave. Sigh. All good things must come to an end.
2. I come back to campus. Its quite deserted. I’m terribly jet-lagged. And my ears are painfully blocked. No one is around. Even my roommate has left for Vegas. This is what US is all about. Back home, its all homely. People. Dependencies. Here, on the other hand, its independence. Each to his own. Or maybe thats how grad life is. Go figure.
3. I realized that my motivation was on a low. I was physically in the US but my head was still back home. What do i do now, i ask myself. Well, I’ve been here before. Here’s how i cheer myself up. Take a nice shower. Feel fresh. Cook some great food. Spicy food. Endorphins babe! And plan to go for a run next day. I felt great. Its nice a feeling to let yourself know sometimes that you’re enough. That, if you have yourself, you’ll be fine. You’ll be okay.
What do you say?
