Dog. Day. Every. Has. His.
1. Isn’t it amazing. All the advice. All the awesomeness. All the good stuff. All the oomph. It dies down. The adrenaline wears off. The day gets over. The sun sets. And we are back to square one. Back to the where we started from. Right back where we belong..
2. But that’s okay. It couldn’t last forever. It wouldn’t be awesome if it went on forever. The curtains come down. But they come back up for a new show. Another chance at glory. Another attempt at greatness..
3. At these points in my life, I say, Oh well. At least I enjoyed it while it lasted. I took my chances. I did what I could. I pushed hard. I fought back. I know how this works. You prepare for the next battle. For the next race. You bide your time. You wait.
Alas, without patience, would we have come this far my friend?
The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal;
he tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.
It is not a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled;
But it is a calamity not to dream.
It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal;
But it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture.
It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars;
But it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for.
Not failure, but low aim is a sin.
