Rolling out a new me

saad bhamla compflu iit guwahati india 2012

I started out this blog with a couple of clear ideas in mind – to use it as a journal, to bring people up-to-date and develop my writing skills, amongst other things.
Now, because of people commenting and reading, I feel this pressure whenever I type out a post. And I know, it’s like 3 people reading this blog, but I still have this pressure to put out only my best.

I’m not very happy with that, and am wondering on how to face this new fear in my head.

Having said that, I’m back from India. The trip was one the best I’ve had in a long time. I presented at a conference at IIT Guwahati. I ran my first full marathon. And I networked like crazy.
Hopefully, there is a lot of hope for me to visit next year again, if not sooner.

A lot of life changing things happened on this trip. The result of which is that I have a broad theme for this year. Last year was solely focussed towards my personal life – relationships, running, health, diet, books etc. This year, it’s my professional life that I’m focussing on. I’ve already started making changes and setting up new habits, goals and loggers for feedback. I’ve been waking up at 7 am for the last 10 days and have been working out. I get to work early and get started.

Also, I’m in a relationship now. Following my new resolutions, I’ll talk about her and my learnings in the coming posts.

It’s a brand new year. Have you set your goals?

Good luck with everything. I am very interested in what people from other countries think about their experiences in the US. I will look forward to hearing more from you!
