Trick: Taking great notes on the iPad

Notability - Ipad - stylus- screenshot

For my molecular simulations class, Prof. Cai asked someone to volunteer to take notes and send the scanned version to him later. A friend of mine Adrian, volunteered to take notes on his iPad.

As soon as the class was over, he sent the notes out and I was awestruck by the beauty and clarity of the notes (see below). It just looks amazing. I saw him type it out myself and saw how easy it was.

I suddenly have a good reason to buy an iPad. Besides the fact that you can’t search the text, everything else is amazing. Perhaps there is way to make the text searchable?

The app he uses is called Notability.

Note the stylus that he was using. That’s the Adonis Jot Pro. TheVerge did a review of iPad stylii(?) and determined that for writing it was the best one. (http://www.theverge.com/2012/4/10/2925937/best-stylus-ipad-review). It’s not cheap at $30 but you could also buy the exact same one minus the grip for $20.

I have to admit – the image is not of Adrian. I got it off the web. Don’t remember from where. I’ll begin adding an image credit from the next blogpost. Thanks for helping me identify a weak spot, Fadl.
